The 2018 Erdener Treppchen Riesling Kabinett –6– is clear and intense on the generously ripe and aromatic nose. The palate is lush and round, a mouthful of wine, but again, like a Spätlese rather than a Kabinett. The finish is pure, crunchy and slatey, pretty vital and vibrantly fresh, with good grip and tension. This Treppchen already drinks very well but has the potential to surprise.
