The 2019 Milamore is a blend of 45% Malbec, 40% Cabernet Sauvingon, 10% Bonarda and 5% Cabernet Franc sun-dried before fermentation and spent 12 months in used French barrels. A dull, purplish red in hue. On the nose, it's reminiscent of Amarone with dry fruit, potpourri, hints of leather and a touch of energizing volatility over balsam notes. In the mouth, it's slightly sugary, voluminous and intense with gentle, delicate tannins and moderate freshness before a raisiny aftertaste. A more economic option for fans of Amarone.
